Apple's "Fall From Grace" →
parislemon:
This is, quite simply, one of the worst pieces I’ve ever read on Apple.
Zach Epstein starts off trashing Apple’s iPhone 4S announcement as perhaps “the beginning of the end” — and does so citing a bunch of analysts.
Analysts.
As anyone who watches Apple closely knows, analysts are absolutely fucktarded when it comes to Apple. If you bet directly against what they’ve said about...

American McCarver: There's Always Hope →
Nice article from Jason Snell at the new sport blog American McCarver about Sunday’s USA-Brazil World Cup soccer match.
americanmccarver:
It’s easy to joke that the only thing Americans care less about than soccer (translation for our non-U.S. readers: “the sport called ‘football’ that’s being ruined by Sepp Blatter, rather than the one being ruined by Roger Goodell”) is soccer when...

understatementblog:
Here are the annual prices of a variety of services, all of which allow users to access the service from the web and across multiple devices with a single unified subscription. See if you can pick out which one is the outlier:

Apple's Three Laws of Developers
yourhead:
A developer may not injure Apple or, through inaction, allow Apple to come to harm.

A developer must protect its own existence as long as such protection does not conflict with the First or Second Law.

This is pretty cool - I’m posting this from 39,000 feet on my flight to Wisconsin! I am even able to stream the Chile-Spain soccer match!
Sac Bee article →
Fun - I was quoted in the Sacramento Bee’s article on the iPhone launch!
Well, Apple brought the Smart Water, and Dos Coyotes brought chicken burritos. Nice!
Half-hour in, line us moving at a nice pace. Good job Apple!
Just moved up the line a huge chunk. Hopefully they’ll be able to process everyone pretty quickly.
Well, an absolute ton of blue-shirted Apple employees just ran down the line, high-fiving everyone and cheering. Crazy.
Made it inside. Reservation line is back to Macy’s and still growing.
Well, line is moving - must be getting everyone inside the mall. So far I count 3 TV trucks.
Happy Summer everyone!

Crystal definitely should have won AI9, though you couldn’t help but like both of the finalists this year. Highlight of the finale tonight though was definitely Crystal, Lee, and Joe Cocker. Sorry the video above requires Flash.
